UGH! That feeling of self-doubt. I’m too familiar with it. Wondering what it is I’m actually doing and then wondering how to explain it. Then to finally resonate with something, but then the doubts of really? come in.
Imposter syndrome has this sneaky way of creeping in and making us doubt our worth, our abilities, and even our dreams. But as my teacher in my Erotic Order Priestess training said, “You can’t be an imposter if you’re being yourself.”
That statement hit me like a bolt of lightning. It’s so simple, yet so profound.
I’ll continue to play with titles and statements that summarize who I am and what I do, but ultimately, what I know is if I keep being myself, I can’t lose. I don’t even have to try, I just keep expressing, and being, and learning.
Uncovering the Naughty, Naughty You
Inevitably, on the path of authenticity, we will hit the aspects of ourselves which we think “surely this is not okay”, “this part needs to change”, and “this needs to be fixed”.
What I’ve learned over and over again is that the “bad” or “unforgivable” parts aren’t things we need to hide—they’re doorways to our power. These pieces hold the key to living unapologetically and fully, and at minimum provide us clarity on what matters to us, what parts need attention, and where we’re off balance.
Society teaches us to fear these parts, to shove them down, and to put on a mask that fits the world’s expectations. But what happens when we stop hiding? When we turn toward those forbidden aspects of ourselves instead of running away?
I’ll tell you what happens—treasure.
Treasures in the Darkness
In my own journey, I’ve learned that the parts of me I once feared—the anger, the ambition, the audacity to take up space—weren’t my flaws. They were my gifts, waiting for me to uncover them.
Exploring these shadowy places isn’t always comfortable. It can feel scary, vulnerable, even taboo. But time and time again, I’ve found gold in that darkness. I’ve discovered love, care, and power—for myself and for others.
The truth is, claiming your “dark side” doesn’t make you less; it makes you whole. And when you embrace every part of who you are, you don’t just step into your power—you radiate it.
Shine Brighter by Claiming Your Shadow
This is the heart of the events I’ve created for January:
- Empire Energy: Becoming a Business Baddie is about stepping boldly into your business vision, leaving behind self-doubt and limitations.
- Bad B*tch Activation: For Your Villain Era invites you to embrace the unapologetic, powerful version of yourself—your inner villain—for the sake of living fully and authentically.
Both events share a common thread: claiming the parts of you that society tells you to hide, not for the sake of being bad, but for the sake of shining even brighter.
What Are You Hiding?
Take a moment to ask yourself:
- What part of me have I labeled as “bad” or “wrong”?
- What is this part of me showing me or guiding me towards?
- …and what’s beyond THAT?
Your power lies in those answers. And the more you embrace your shadow, the more you uncover your light.
Are you ready to explore what’s hidden in your darkness? I’m inviting you to step into these transformative spaces, claim every part of yourself, and discover the treasures waiting to unfold.
